Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) Expands Community Outreach in Sinjar and Sinuni

Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) continues to support underserved communities in the Sinjar and Sinuni regions through field visits and community outreach initiatives. These efforts aim to expand access to psychosocial support (PSS), group counseling sessions, and vocational training programs for women in remote villages with limited resources.

The initiative underscores HMOW’s dedication to empowering women and fostering resilience in areas profoundly impacted by conflict and socio-economic challenges. By directly engaging with communities, the organization addresses critical gaps in mental health and vocational support, helping women rebuild their lives and contribute to their communities.

“Ensuring access to psychosocial support and skills development is essential for healing and long-term recovery,” said Dr.Nagham Hasan, HMOW’s Executive Director. “These visits allow us to listen to the needs of women in marginalized areas and provide tailored services that promote empowerment and self-sufficiency.”

During the outreach, HMOW teams conducted needs assessments, facilitated group discussions to offer immediate emotional support, and introduced upcoming vocational training opportunities. The organization remains committed to creating safe and inclusive spaces where women can share their stories, build networks, and gain skills for economic independence.

This ongoing effort highlights HMOW’s mission to leave no woman behind in the journey toward recovery and self-empowerment, ensuring that even the most remote communities have access to vital resources.
