Empowering Youth in Sinjar: ICAN Sessions by Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW)
Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) is thrilled to announce the launch of a series of ICAN sessions targeting teenagers aged 12 to 16 in Sinjar area. These sessions are a key part of the DELIVER in Health Project, designed to foster the mental and emotional well-being of young people during their formative years.
Through interactive and engaging activities, the ICAN sessions focus on:
Building self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-image.
Developing essential life skills like emotional understanding and management, including strategies to handle stress, anxiety, and anger.
Enhancing communication and conflict resolution skills through non-violent communication and improved social and interpersonal relationships.
Promoting autonomy, community involvement, and crafting a positive identity and future vision.
By addressing critical topics such as anger recognition, emotional acceptance, and managing life challenges, HMOW is equipping teenagers with the confidence and resilience needed to navigate adolescence successfully. The program encourages their active participation in the community, empowering them to become change-makers and advocates for well-being and unity.
Together, we are creating a brighter future for the youth in Sinjar, Sinuni, and beyond, fostering hope and resilience in a region that continues to inspire us all.
