Additionally, HMOW offers workshops on essential life skills, including financial literacy and stress management, equipping women to make informed decisions and achieve greater independence. Emphasizing resilience and confidence-building, HMOW amplifies women's voices in marginalized communities, helping them assert their place in society. Its skilled team comprises PSS workers, community mobilizers, case managers, and psychiatrists who provide specialized support for urgent cases. By collaborating with community experts and certified local trainers, HMOW strengthens the Yezidi community and promotes sustainable development through local expertise.

HMOW, the sole provider of psychiatric services in Sinjar and nearby areas, empowers Yezidi women and girls through crucial health and mental health support, fostering hope and resilience in conflict survivors by addressing both physical and psychological well-being.

Awareness Raising and Advocacy

HMOW’s Services is dedicated to raising awareness on women as leaders, challenging community stereotypes, and addressing climate change. Through advocacy efforts like focus group discussions and needs assessments, HMOW actively assess and address the specific challenges faced by Yezidi women and girls, striving for inclusive and impactful change.

HMOW offers comprehensive life skill development programs tailored for Yezidi women and girls in Sinjar, focusing on vocational training, communication, social skills, financial literacy, and adaptability. Additionally, the organization extends its services to children, empowering them with the necessary skills and mindset to become emotionally resilient

Livelihood

HMOW has expanded its services in Sinjar and Sinuni through the Livelihood Project, aimed at enhancing women's economic opportunities and skills in key sectors such as seedling production, recycling, and sustainable agriculture. Funded by UN Women in partnership with UNFPA and Al-Messalla, this initiative reflects a shared commitment to empowering women and promoting sustainable development in conflict-affected areas. HMOW seeks to equip women with the necessary skills, resources, and opportunities for financial independence, enabling them to contribute to their communities through entrepreneurship and eco-friendly practices. By investing in women's potential, HMOW fosters long-term economic stability and community resilience. This project plays a critical role in driving positive change and sustainable development in Sinjar and Sinuni.
