Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) Continues Livelihood Project in Sinjar and Sinuni

Sinjar/Sinuni – March 4, 2025 – Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) is proud to announce the continuation of its Livelihood Project in Sinjar and Sinuni, aimed at empowering women through practical skills training. This initiative is providing 165 women with the knowledge and tools necessary to enhance their economic opportunities and foster self-sufficiency.

Running from February 16th to March 11th, the project comprises both theoretical and practical training in key areas such as seedling production, recycling, and organic farming. With the support of UN Women, in partnership with UNFPA and Al-Messalla, HMOW is committed to promoting sustainable development and economic independence for women in conflict-affected regions.

On March 2nd, the project entered its intensive eight-day practical training phase, where participants are applying their learned skills to real-world scenarios, strengthening their ability to contribute to their communities and local economies.

“We believe that economic empowerment is a vital step towards long-term stability and resilience,” said Dr.Nagham Hassan, the Executive Director of HMOW. “By equipping women with sustainable skills, we are fostering self-reliance and helping build stronger, more resilient communities.”

This initiative underscores HMOW’s dedication to empowering women, enhancing community resilience, and promoting environmentally friendly practices as a means of sustainable economic development.
