Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) Launches Livelihood Project in Sinjar and Sinuni

Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) has launched its Livelihood Project in Sinjar and Sinuni, targeting 165 women—85 in Sinjar and 80 in Sinuni—to enhance their economic opportunities and skills. The project, running from February 16th to March 11th, includes a six-day theoretical training and an eight-day practical training, focusing on key livelihood sectors.

Participants are divided into three specialized groups:

1. Seedling production

2. Recycling (including textiles, soap making, glass, and plastics)

3. Storage, organic farming, gardening, and hydroponics in the agricultural sector

This project is funded by UN Women in partnership with UNFPA and Al-Messalla, demonstrating a joint commitment to empowering women and fostering sustainable development in conflict-affected areas.
