Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) Advances Livelihood Project in Sinjar and Sinuni

Sinjar/Sinuni – March 9, 2025 – Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) continues its impactful Livelihood Project in Sinjar and Sinuni, equipping 165 women with practical skills to enhance economic opportunities and self-sufficiency. Running from February 16 to March 11, this initiative includes specialized training in seedling production, recycling, and organic farming, fostering both individual empowerment and sustainable community development.

Funded by UN Women, and in partnership with UNFPA, and Al-Messalla, the project entered an intensive eight-day practical training phase on March 2, allowing participants to apply their skills in real-world scenarios and actively contribute to their local communities.

“The Livelihood Project is more than just skill-building; it is a pathway to self-reliance and resilience for women in Sinjar and Sinuni,” said Dr.Nagham Hasan, Executive Manager of HMOW. “By providing training in eco-friendly and sustainable practices, we are not only empowering women but also strengthening entire communities for a better future.”

HMOW remains committed to advancing women’s empowerment, promoting environmental sustainability, and enhancing community resilience. Through strategic partnerships and dedicated efforts, the organization continues to pave the way for long-term, sustainable development in the region.
